Understanding the layout of the stadium is an important step to ensuring your visit to the stadium is smooth and easy. While there will always be stadium staff on hand to help you find your seats, getting an early understanding of the stadium’s layout can help you purchase the best seats.
Stadium layout
Commanders Field features a sleek modern design, with three levels of seating alongside luxury suites surrounding the field in an oval. The stadium’s open-air design allows fans to create an exciting atmosphere during live games or concerts. Most seats have an unobstructed view of the field below.
Seating distribution
With a seating capacity of 65,000, Commanders Field offers many different seats depending on your preferences. Here is a short breakdown of each level so that you can get an idea of where you’d like to be during a game or concert.
Keep in mind that the orientation of the stadium’s seating can change depending on the event, and these guidelines will focus on the most common configuration for game days. Consider the following carefully to work out what your ideal seats would be.
Lower level
The lower level provides prime seating closest to the action on the field. These seats are the best bet for fans who want a close view of the action and to be more connected with the energy of the game.
Club level
Just above the lower level, the club level features premium seating and better amenities. With these seats, you’ll be able to get access to upscale lounges and diverse dining options. Club-level seats are a good balance between luxury and proximity to the game.
Upper level
The upper level provides expansive seating options that offer panoramic views of the stadium and surrounding area. Although they’re a little further away from the field, visitors in these seats will get great sightlines of everything happening.
Luxury suites
Luxury suites cater to corporate clients, VIP guests and groups who are looking for a more tailored experience. These suites offer the highest level of service, with privacy and comfort. Luxury suites are some of the most expensive tickets you can buy but offer the ultimate game experience.
Sun/shade distribution
You should also consider sun/shade distribution. This is especially important depending on the weather. The distribution of sun and shade varies depending on the time of day and the orientation of the stadium. For example, there are often different orientations depending on whether you’re going to see a football game or a concert. However, visitors should expect the following:
Shaded areas
The most shaded areas of the venue are:
- South Sideline: Spectators seated on the Commanders’ home side of the field can expect a good amount of shade, especially if the game is taking place in the afternoon or evening.
- West End Zone: Seats in this area of the stadium benefit from shade as the sun begins to set. It’s a good place to sit if you want shade from the late afternoon heat.
Sunny areas
- North Sideline: The visitors’ side of the field usually gets a lot of sun, especially during games in the afternoon.
- Upper-level Sections: Many upper-level sections on the north side of the field get sunlight throughout the day.
Accessibility
Commanders Field is a venue committed to being accessible to visitors. The stadium is equipped with accessible seating areas, ramps, and elevators that can assist visitors with mobility impairments. If you need additional help, you can call ahead of time or contact a member of staff when you arrive.
